Dark Knight: Black Hearts
Original Ink version
all traditional ink line art
copyright Andy Brase

For those that wanted to see this stripped down to just ink, here's my Dark Knight original art without any digital color added. Just pure traditional ink line art:) This is all drawn by hand, no rulers, no digital textures, and all lines.
I took many WIP photos on this one and I'll probably post a few more of them over on my blog when I get a chance.

Wow your work is awsome, i did some ghost inking back in the 90's for mostly DC that was back when artist would start a studio and take on alot of work then pay a second artist to do the pages they didn't want to do so they could take on more work, but as all things that didn't last for long the industry cut alot of titles and alot of that was done and over with, the studio i did work out of was in central florida, but back to you your pencils are great and the inking is even better in execution i still use brush and ink alot but i have been learning digital alot more thought it seems harder to get that delicate touch i get with a brush maybe it's me but i do have to admit the digital inks are getting better.
Your detail is genius i'm amazed at how u fit so much in without the images getting lost in all the work, this is just very cool to see hope to hear from u in reply would be cool to talk seqential art with someone who's talent shines, be safe ROB

very cool to see someone who is keeping the old ways alive to, i have been going back and forth lately some with brush and some digital but have noticed it's a rather hard to get that delicate touch with the digital ink, your i had a feeling your work was traditional due to the detail, i don't know if u know who John dell is he has some great line work to i have some of his work i purchased at a show a few years ago, i had thought about putting a new portfolio together for the industry and see if i can get some legit work, but it's really hard to get it in front of ppl who actually make decisions, seems all the ppl i knew aren't even in the industry anymore, i have been doing freelance locally for alot of years but that has all dried up lately, thanks for taking the time to reply and once again your work is outstanding if you'd care to converse some more let me know and i'll send my e-mail address i'd appreciate any good advice u could give and as i said good artist are hard to find in this field, if you'd care to look at a varied body of my work take a look at my gallery these were small pieces that were easy to scan, once again thanks for your time ROB.
