I've always wanted to do some drawings based on Batman and his gallery of villains. I finally got a chance to do my take on a few of them with this commission piece.
Some of my favorite Batman versions were the characters in the Tim Burton films. (I also love the new Nolan films) So that was sort of the direction I wanted to go in for this art.
Capture the darker and more gothic feel of Gotham and the Dark Knight. I always gravitate towards these more shadowy and gritty fantasy worlds anyhow

I'm most happy with how my versions of Poison Ivy and Joker turned out. Overall this was bigger than my normal cover type drawings... One of the biggest yet.
And just so I don't upset anyone, this is my take and twist on the Dark Knight and his world. It's not meant to be any of the existing versions of Batman.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on my version of the Dark Knight's world and villains. Thanx!

I also love how you illustrate the Joker. He's just right in my opinion. You realized him better than most artists have. He looks like a real, flesh and blood person but not like a harmless cartoon character and not too macabre like a horror movie monster.
